“Don’t play with your food” they say
I’ve seen the jiggly cat puddings trending all over social media and finally had my chance to make one for myself! And of course I made it for a cake.
TIPs for jiggly cat pudding:
- For the cat pudding to be firm enough to withstand being transported on the cake, I added a wee bit more gelatine to make sure it’s stable. If you like yours more jiggly, feel free to decrease the gelatine to 5-6g gelatine
- If you are using it for a cake, add a dusting of biscuit crumb on top so the pudding doesn’t slide all over the place
- Silicone moulds are the best to flip the jiggly cat inside out
If you like the look of this cake, try your hand at my coffee cake. It is DELISH with the pudding on top. Add a layer of biscuit crumb for that crunchy and jiggly mouthfeel together. If you give the jiggly cat pudding a go, tag @ultimateomnoms on Instagram so I feature your fun creation!
