On the menu, there were two Killa shakes but the word of mouth special was a toffee caramel popcorn shake with waffle. At $12.50 and three sticks of waffles, it was a meal in itself. I loooved the peanut butter mousse smeared around the sides, I wish there was more of it but understandably, it was a caramel shake – not the PB one. I do wonder whether it was meant to be there on purpose or if the jar was swapped for a PB one.
To cancel out the extreme shake with something savoury, I couldn’t order their Killa waffles for the death of me. Ugly Bagels with my favourite topping of cream cheese, salmon and avocado could do no wrong.
I went to Cereal Killa mainly amused by the name and to try their Killa Shakes. Location was convenient on Dominion Road and if you go for an early brunch, you avoid the hassle of finding parking on Dom Road. Food was done right, though nothing memorable was on the menu.
The service was a hit or a miss. The wait staff were friendly, but twice they seemed to be confused by table numbers when the food arrived. We were asked how the food was and water glasses were left empty when they came around.
Look around at other tables before you decide what to order, there were some nice looking meals coming out of the kitchen. Seating was comfortable, I would go there again if I wanted another diabetic injection.
