It’s coming…Taste of Auckland 2012!

Walking degustation anyone?

Following up from the Auckland Restaurant Month in August, November isn’t far away for us to get our tastebuds tickling again. The idea is simple, round up Auckland’s best restaurants in Victoria Park and eat the night away with entertainment by various celebrity chefs and live bands.

It’s a fun and sophisticated event with showcases from New Zealand’s best artisan food, wine and beer producers. Plenty of nibbles, plenty of fun. If you want to level up your cooking skills, check out the Fisher & Paykel’s Chef’s Kitchen. Hosted by Nadia Lim this year, our favourite chefs will be showing us how to whip up their signature dishes at home. Then there’s whisky, coffee and cocktail masterclasses for all kinds of enthusiasts out there.

Check out these restaurants participating for Taste of Auckland 2012:

– Clooney – Depot – Euro – Toto – Kermadec Fine – Poderi Crisci – The Commons – Fish – Mexico – Vivace

I spy some restaurants I’ve been dying to go to since forever and from the menu, they’re cooking menu favourites too – not some shrunken show version!

Once you have your delicious food in hand, you can hop over to one of the communal stand-up tables and snappity snap your delicious morsels and enjoy them with other foodies hanging out.

I’ll be on the search for the curious Carrot Cake Snapper from The Commons, Salmon Bellavista from Toto… and Pecan Creme Brulee from Clooney. And will probably stomach a few more others in between.

=Giveaway Time!=
